What a beautiful day we had at West Wittering. The sun was shining on us whilst we played on the sand and in the sea before having a lovely picnic then finishing the day off with an ice cream.

Egyptian Day

In the Summer term we all became ancient Egyptians for the day. We learnt how to write in hieroglyphics, mummified our teddy bears, made Egyptian jewellery and built pyramids. We also made and tested Egyptian style boats and sampled some Egyptian food.

We had a wonderful opportunity to plant an orchard of apple and pear trees with Roots for the future. The children enjoyed getting their hands dirty and learnt about the benefit of having trees.

World Book Day

The children designed their own book character using toilet rolls, there were some beautiful characters and even some that lite up! We were also lucky enough to take part in a drawing workshop with author and illustrator Tony De Saulles and the children created their own 'Bee Boy' drawings.
