Year 6 Residential

All of the children and staff on the Year 6 residential are having an absolutely fantastic time. We have a lovely campsite in the woods and the sight of the sun setting over Brownsea Island is quite magnificent. The staff who are taking care of us are doing a brilliant job and we have been enjoying delicious food, evening campfires, nature walks and plenty of fun filled games.

Science Experiment

Year 6 have been investigating what happens during a chemical reaction over the last few weeks. During this experiment, children were able to change the amount of a reactant involved in a chemical reaction to see how it would affect the products. As well as gaining some excellent scientific knowledge, the children had a great time in the process.

We have been learning about the classification of living things in Y6. As we explored arthropods (a group of invertebrates) we made our own classification trees inspired by the work of Carl Linneaus.
