Year 2 spent the day immersed in everything Egyptian! The costumes were amazing! There were Egyptian Gods, Goddesses and even a mummy!
The day’s activities started with mummifying teddies, followed by making a sarcophagus for the mummy to go in and then making a Canopic jar which contained lungs (pumpkin), a stomach (tea-bag), a liver (butter beans) and intestines (spaghetti).
If that wasn’t enough, the children then travelled all the way to Egypt (with the help of a green screen) and took some sandy selfies in front of the Great Pyramids of Giza!
